I know my post the other day was super lame, and that I didn’t post yesterday. I was bad mood girl all week, and I would probably still be in a bad mood if I wasn’t going to see Andrew tomorrow (so excited!). It’s the heat! It is eating away at my soul!! But you don’t want to hear about that.
I found the most excellent biking blog today. If you are into biking and the internet at all, I am sure you know about it. But, if you are like me and was only into biking, then recently was pushed in front of a computer for 8 hours, this is a cool discovery. Its called BikeSnob NYC and I freaking love the way this guy writes. He’s really funny and rips on fixie people all the time (which is funny because I ride a fixie and my friends are totally the type he makes fun of). I can only imagine how bad the trend is over there, because New York is pretty uptight about their style and image. I like to think that we are a little more laid back here on the Pacific. Before I bring us into a coast gang war…
I’ve been reading a lot on cyclists being attacked by motorists and/or people with blowdarts lately. And the funny thing is that the comments immediately turn into an argument about the roads. These two people were shot with blowdarts and most of the readers are concerned with cars and bikes being on the road together. It’s like everyone’s life revolves around their car and driving in it. Sometimes I wish to be taken back to the innocence of my youth, when I believed it was an easy task to take away all the cars in the world. At the age of 9, my friend Amy and I sent a petition to President Clinton asking to take away all the cars in the United States and replace them with bikes. Our argument was that it would reduce pollution and make everyone healthy and fit again. Bless those souls that took pitty on us two young girls and actually signed our petition. Those were the days.
